| 3D Photos and Videos |
Apple Vision Pro can capture spatial photos and videos using its 12 cameras and 6 microphones. This enables users to preserve memories and experience them later with an immersive three-dimensional effect. |
| Virtual Avatars |
Apple Vision Pro uses its cameras and sensors to create a realistic digital persona/avatar that can represent the user during virtual interactions and FaceTime calls. |
| 3D Meetings with Apple Vision Pro |
FaceTime is enhanced with spatial computing capabilities, allowing participants to appear in separate virtual windows around the user. Users can communicate naturally while interacting with apps and content in their environment. |
| EyeSight Display |
The external EyeSight display helps people around the user understand whether they are available to interact. In immersive mode, the display indicates that the user is fully immersed; in mixed-reality use, the user's eyes can appear externally. |
| Premium Design |
Apple Vision Pro features a glass front, aluminum frame, Light Seal, and flexible fabric headband. The fit can be adjusted for comfort and stability during use. |
| Dual-Chip Processor |
The headset is powered by the Apple M2 chip and Apple R1 chip. M2 handles visionOS, graphics, and computing tasks, while R1 processes input from the cameras, sensors, and microphones with extremely low latency. |
| High-Resolution Displays |
Apple Vision Pro uses micro-OLED displays with approximately 23 million pixels, delivering more than 4K resolution to each eye for highly detailed visuals. |
| Eye Tracking |
Advanced eye-tracking technology uses infrared cameras and LEDs to accurately detect eye movement. Users can select items simply by looking at them, reducing the need for traditional controllers. |
| Hand Tracking |
Hand-tracking technology works together with eye tracking, allowing users to interact with digital content using natural hand gestures without requiring physical controllers. |
| Spatial Audio |
Dedicated audio pods positioned near the ears provide immersive Spatial Audio. The system uses sensors to understand the user's surroundings and dynamically adapt the audio experience. |
| External Battery |
Apple Vision Pro uses a separate external battery to help reduce the weight of the headset. The battery provides approximately 2 hours of typical use, while the headset can also be connected to power for extended use. |
| Security System |
Optic ID provides biometric authentication by analyzing the user's iris. It can be used to securely unlock Apple Vision Pro, authenticate purchases, and protect personal information. |
| Operating System |
Apple Vision Pro runs visionOS, Apple's spatial computing operating system, designed for immersive apps, spatial experiences, multitasking, and interaction using eyes, hands, and voice. |
| Spatial Computing |
The headset blends digital content with the user's physical surroundings, allowing apps, entertainment, workspaces, and 3D objects to appear naturally within the environment. |
